HR Audits

  • Reviewing and auditing of existing Human Resource policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance and identifying areas of improvement;
  • Updating/re-drafting of existing documents, such as Employment Contracts, Leave Forms, Overtime Claim Forms (etc.) to ensure Legal Compliance.

Policies

  • Drafting of Letters of Appointment in order to adhere to minimum requirements of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, while providing for the specific needs of the business;
  • Drafting of policies, such as Leave Policies, Grievance Procedures, Company Disciplinary Codes, Maternity Policies, Employee Handbooks etc;
  • Drafting of Employee Job Descriptions and KPI’s;
  • Design and implementation of Exit Interviews.

Disciplinary Matters

  • Drafting of applicable Verbal-, Written- and Final Written Warnings;
  • Assist management with investigations, drafting of Charge Sheets/Notices to Attend Disciplinary Enquiries, and preparation of hearing packs; or
  • Facilitate hearings in the capacity of Chairperson;
  • Prepare packs and assist the company at the CCMA, when necessary;
  • Attend to Grievance meetings as Facilitator;
  • Facilitate Incapacity Investigations (as a result of Poor Performance or Ill Health).

Recruitment

  • Source candidates in conjunction with an established business partner;
  • Assist the company with the interviewing process and shortlisting of candidates;
  • Conduct reference- and background checks.

Training

  • Training of Line Managers on the basic aspects of warnings, disciplinary action, preparation for hearings and CCMA, provisions of the BCEA such as Leave and Overtime;
  • Design and Implementation of Induction Training Courses.

Compensation Commissioner

  • Company registrations;
  • Reporting of Injuries-on-Duty i.e. submission of Employer’s Report of an Accident, First Medical Reports, Follow-up Medical Reports, Final Medical Reports and Resumption Reports;
  • Assistance with calculations and Submission of Annual Return of Earnings.
